The Bureau of Mental Health Programs is composed of two divisions. The Special Mental
Health Initiatives Division, with Bonlitha Windham as Division Director, administers
the Community Alternatives to Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities
Grant
and 1915(c) Waiver, or MYPAC (Mississippi Youth Programs Around-the-Clock). The
Mental Health Services Division, with Charlene Toten as Division Director, oversees
the following programs: |

The Bureau’s programs provide a way for people to get the mental health treatment
they need in a variety of settings, depending on age and conditions. Several of
our programs, however, are limited to children under age 21. Some services are not
covered, while others may require a specific diagnosis to be covered. Some of the
services require prior authorization for coverage.
