On Monday, No. 23, the Mississippi Division of Medicaid hosted a webinar on newborns and the inpatient transition for providers and hospitals. The transition of inpatient services into our managed care program, MississippiCAN, is effective Dec. 1, 2015.
Representatives from Medicaid addressed changes affecting newborns and covered numerous topics, including: observation, concurrent review, notification, the newborn form, prior authorization, neonatal intensive-care unit policies, interim billing, enrollment challenges and more.
